Brazilian star Neymar Junior, currently playing for Al-Hilal’s first football team, has shown significant progress
in his recent rehabilitation program at the club’s headquarters. According to reliable sources, Neymar, aged 32,
is expected to miss Al-Hilal’s first three matches in the Saudi Pro League against Al-Akhdoud, Damac, and Al-Riyadh.
However, he is anticipated to make a gradual return during the highly anticipated “Clásico” match against Al-Ittihad
in Riyadh on September 19, after being sidelined for 337 days.
The Brazilian forward will also be unavailable for the Saudi Super Cup, where Al-Hilal will begin their new season against
Al-Ahli in Abha on August 13. Should Al-Hilal progress to the final, Neymar will miss the match scheduled for August 17.
Neymar, who previously played for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, continues his rehabilitation under the supervision of
Ricardo Rosa, his personal physical and technical coach. The injury, a torn ACL in his left knee, occurred during an international
match against Uruguay on October 18, 2023, as part of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Neymar’s last appearance for Al-Hilal was on October 3, 2023, against Nassaji Mazandaran in the second round of the AFC Champions
League group stage. In that match, he scored the team’s second goal, contributing to a 3-0 victory.
Neymar’s potential return in the “Clásico” match against Al-Ittihad is highly anticipated by fans, as it marks his first
appearance after a long period of recovery. The team’s management and supporters are hopeful for a successful comeback
and look forward to seeing the star player back in action.
