Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, leading Al-Hilal’s first football team, has postponed the decision
on which players will leave the Riyadh-based club until the end of the current training camp in
Austria, which concludes on August 3, according to press sources.
The coach plans to make a final decision on the performance of several players, including central defender
Khalifa Al-Dawsari, full-back Hamad Al-Yami, midfielder Musab Al-Juwair, forward
Abdullah Radeef, and goalkeeper Ahmed Abu Raseen, over the next two weeks.
It’s worth noting that Al-Hilal ended contracts with seven players at the start of the preparatory phase:
Saleh Al-Shehri and Moath Faqihi, who transferred to Al-Ittihad; Mohammed Jahfali, who joined
Al-Kholood; Muteb Al-Mufarrij to Al-Taawoun; Brazilian Matheus Pereira to Cruzeiro; Riyadh Al-Asmari to
Al-Najma; and Salman Al-Faraj, who is reportedly close to joining Neom. Additionally,
Al-Hilal loaned Abdul-Ilah Al-Maliki to Al-Ettifaq and Mohammed Barnawi to Al-Orouba.
The Saudi Pro League champions will face their third friendly match on Friday against
South African club Mamelodi Sundowns. Al-Hilal won their first two friendlies against
Austrian club Wiener Neustadt with a 6-0 victory and Qatari club Al-Arabi with a 2-0 scoreline.
