Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo is set to join his Al-Nassr teammates for their preseason
preparations at the beginning of August, according to sports news reports.
Ronaldo is currently on vacation after participating in the UEFA Euro 2024, where his national team was eliminated by
France in the quarterfinals.
Due to his extended break, Ronaldo is missing Al-Nassr’s training camp, which began on
July 7 in the Algarve region of Portugal and will run until the end of the month.
The forward has agreed with the club’s management to skip the first part of
the external preparation program and will join the training sessions starting from the second camp,
which begins on August 1 in Marbella, Spain.
Sources indicate that Ronaldo is open to joining the preparations before the end of the month, provided
his family is ready to conclude their vacation. Therefore, he has informed
the Al-Nassr management of his tentative arrival on the previously
agreed date, with a possibility of an earlier return.
Al-Nassr has played three friendly matches during their Algarve camp,
with three more to go, including a match against Porto on July 28.
Sources suggest that the “Madeira Missile” is unlikely to participate in any of these matches, including the Porto game.
However, it is expected that he will play in the two scheduled matches during the Spanish camp,
after which the team will return to Saudi Arabia to prepare for the new season, starting with the local Super Cup.
