Al-Qadisiyah’s first football team departed from Venlo, Netherlands, on Monday, wrapping up their preseason training camp as they prepare for the upcoming season. The team is expected to arrive in Dammam later in the evening.

The Eastern Province team’s camp began on July 15 and lasted for approximately 21 days. Their preparations started on July 6 in Al Khobar with fitness and physical tests before traveling to Venlo.

Under the guidance of Spanish coach Michel Gonzalez, Al-Qadisiyah played four friendly matches during the camp. They lost the first game 1-2 to Borussia Mönchengladbach, won 2-0 against Al-Rayyan from Qatar, drew 2-2 with Olympiacos from Greece, and ended with a 0-1 loss to Dutch first-division team Dordrecht.

Al-Qadisiyah, newly promoted to the Saudi Pro League, will kick off their season by hosting Al-Fateh on August 22.
